2 beautiful images, by Karen Middleton, in traditional Christmas-colours♥

Hello everyone...
I know I'm very very behind with my projects, but we're having some times together with our youngest daughter (14,5 years old) , and she need me to stay home a while,.. being around, be there for her, for some time, and that was the only right thing for me to do♥!
So, at this time, everything is going soo much better, and Lynette, I don't know how to thank you for your especially caring, and understanding♥!!
 You ARE the best!!
*
Today, I want to show you 2 Christmas-cards, better later than never:))
I've been |using Sweet Peas Stamps images, by Karen Middleton, on both cards.
Love all of her beautiful images♥
For my first card I used the lovely image, Courage, sheet #5 Plate #115. and coloured it with copic markers.
DP are from..hmm, Bo Bunny, I think:)
I've to show you this very beautiful vintage charm, which was in one of my Christmas presents, but I don't know where to get more of these, I think it is bought on Etsy!:) Do you like it?;)

"Courage"

*
For this one i use a image, perfect for a Christmas-card again, by Karen Middleton's , and her name is"Light the Stars" . You can find her here, on sheet #5, Plate #116.♥
She's also coloured with Copic Markers, in traditional Christmas Colours, and the DP are from the Swedishcompany, Pion Design, and the make the most beautiful vintage/shabby chic paper, ever!!:)
Wish ..."Have a Magical day", sentiment from Sweet Pea Stamp, and  I use this words a lot on my cards♥!:)
Behind the image I've made a little envelope, with a tag inside, for personal greetings!

Closer up to her, swinging around the moon, hanging on beautiful Christmas stars!:)
The flowers are from WOC, and under them, I've added spice and a little piece of
Cinnamon beside!:) It smells like Christmas♥

Thank you all so much as always for stopping by.

Winter Watcher

I don't know about all of you, but my get up and go kind of left with the holidays.  I don't have the desire to do anything I should do at all!  I DO, however, want to sit and watch movies and color images!!  Especially images drawn by ching-chou kuik like this one.

This lovely lady is Winter Watcher cut out from the background portion of the image.  She is available singly or on plate #25 with 3 other lovely ladies.

Have a fabulous and productive (at least as you want it to be!) week!

Get Inky!

Snap shots

Today I have a card I want to share that uses matted images (Elaine Cox's Mirima and Stormy Moon) that I like to call snap shots. Depending on your age, at one point in time or another you have either seen or even used an instant camera that would eject the picture out of the camera. You waited a short time and presto! Your picture was ready. While digitals have taken over the world, I still think an instant camera were marvelous creations - there is no need to run to a computer or kiosk to have it developed. But I digress...to create your own snap shots is very simple.

Cut a piece of white card stock to 3.5 x 4.5, this will be your mat.
For the stamped image you will need another piece of card stock, I want to say white since we are taking a picture, and cut it to 3 x 3.
Stamp and color the image.
Stamp a sentiment on the lower 1" section of the mat (for authenticity hand write it!).
Adhere the two pieces of paper together leaving a .25 border at the top and along the sides of the stamped image.

To finish up the card I am sharing today, I cut a 6 x 6 piece of Prima paper, inked the edges with some brown ink, flipped the Prima paper and cut it to 5.5" and inked those edges and attached the two pieces together, centering. Adhere the snapshots at angles, overlapping. Embellish with a Maya Road satin flower (something I will try and CASE for you sometime) and some Tattered Angels chipboard corners sprayed with a Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed your stop today and will find yourself addicted to snap shots like I am! Don't forget to check out the great sale on grab bags in the Sweet Pea Stamps store! ttfn

Captivated By Silence

Here's a stunning stamp by Anna Marine called "Captivated by Silence" (Plate #160). This stamp takes my breath away. She's stunning. Be sure to take a look at the artist's coloring, it's very different from mine, so it gives you some idea of the beautiful range of this stamp. I did this card in many wonderful shades of pink. I have really been in pink mode lately, huh? Some of this women are just so beautiful that I just see the pink in them!

Here's a close up of the image itself showing the coloring in Copic Markers.

I also added some ribbon and beautiful lace from Turkey. This image just makes me want to go grab more of this artist's wonderful stamps. Be sure to check out the awesome post Christmas sale at the store.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. Here's to a fun year of stamping!
Cheers, Holley

Little glittery seahorses and mermaid ATC

It's been a while since I made an ATC (artist trading cards) so I thought I'd give it a go again. I've been away to see my mom before Christmas and brought my copics to practice my coloring skills. I love making ATC's out of those images since I don't have to bother about matching them up with any papers. Coloring that way makes it more free.

The image I have used is by Elaine Cox and it's called little seahorses mermaid from plate 48.

Not a Christmas card

Hi everyone.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families.
Today I wanted to share 2 cards I created with you.  This first one is "Sunkissed" by Karen Middlenton. You can also find her on Sheet #18, Plate #194.
I added 2 layers of ribbon ruffled behind the image and added a Scallop Spellbinders die between the 2 ribbon layers. I also added some flowers that I have had forever.
I colored her with copics then went over her hair with a black Prismacolor pencil, added chalk around the image and sprayed it with glimmer mist.

For this one I used an image by Anna Marine called "Dark Thoughts", and she can be found on Sheet #5, Plate #196.  I used some Prima paers, fringe and used a Spellbinders pendant die around the image, that I cut 2 in half as added around the image.

Here is a close up of the image. Her face has so much more detail in person.  Sometimes it is so hard to capture all the details in pictures.
Here are the red copics I used to color her.
R35,R37,R39,R59,RV99.
I also went over all most of the folds with a black Prismacolor Pencil.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hugs:)

Standing Pretty

Hi everyone, hope you all had a wonderful and lightful Christmas time. Now we are counting the days till the changing of the Year... not far to go...

Before I want to show you my recent card I made with this oh so sweet image by the fabulous artist Elisabeth Bell called 'Standing Pretty'. After quite some red, green, gold and blue tones I used lately for doing Christmassy and wintery cards I gave a go with pink... so it even looks more springlike. Well, as for me I am happy that the shortest day of the year is past again and the days are going to be longer again.

I made a shaker card this time and quite like how it turned out. I coloured the image with Distress Inks.

Here's a close up of the image... it is a bit difficult to photograph the image behind the window.

Here a close up after shaking...
I wish everyone a very happy NEW YEAR 2012!!!

Hugs, Karina

Moonlit Companions

Hi everyone and dear Sweet Pea Stamps lovers. After making quite some Christmas card I want to show you today the first different one I just made.

For my card I used one of the fabulous images by the great artist Rebecca Sinz. It is called 'Moonlit Companions'. It is available as a single stamp and on Plate #197 it comes with three more very magical images. You will LOVE them!

The image is coloured with Distress Inks on heavy watercolour paper. The background papers I used is from DCWV 'the immortal love'. I added some stars stickers on it and scribbled some more with a white gel pen. Just a bit of lace and flowers as some additional embellishments.

Here is a close up of the image.

Have a magical week everyone! Thank you so much for looking

labeled "Moonlight Fairy"
OR you can just click on

to get there!

Bow Easy tool by Posi-Bendr

I sponged blue ink with a cloud template for the background
and airbrushed Copic B41 around the image for contrast.

Paint My World

Here's a stunning image from artist Anna Marine of Sweet Pea stamps. If you check out this stamp on their website, you will see the artist's depiction of this stamp, "Paint my world black" (Plate #160). My coloring of this image makes it look totally different. I used all sorts of wonderful pink colored embellishments in a variety of shades. Here's a great close up of the colored image using Copic Markers. I love the stunning detail the artist gives. She's painting the flower that she's holding:
Be sure and check out all of this artists stunning stamps and watch the store for the weekly specials. I am sure like me you are all getting ready for the holidays. I like to set aside time everyday to sit down and keep my sanity in check. For me, that means at least a half hour of un-interrupted time of stamping. Ahhh, just time to relax and design.

Happy Holidays (or can I get away with saying Happy Holley-days!)

Just sharing!!

I hope everyone is ready for Christmas, as for me I am not.  So I will be doing some last minute shopping this week.  I don't know about you but this year has been extremely busy and has went by so fast.
So now on to may cards I have to share with you.  This first one I used  Joanne Schempp's "Shhh Mommies Here". Isn't this image so sweet. You can buy her as a single or on Sheet #10, Plate #178.  I made her into a winter card that can also be used as a Christmas card.  I used some B0 Bunny Papers.  I love these design papers.

For my 2nd one I used Anna Marine's "Veil", Sheet #5, Plate #196.

Here are the cards I made for out last 2 blog Hops.  This first one is the card I made for Lynette.  I love this image and how she turned out.  Such a beautiful image. I used Karen Middleton's "Cornflower Blue", on sheet #18, Plate #194.

And for this one I used ching chou kuik's "Butterfly Blue".  I colored her nothing like the her original painting. I wanted to make her look soft and Wintery.  I also made a round card, and I really like the way it turned out with all the Webster Pages embellishments. You can also find her on Sheet #40, Plate #195.

Thanks for stopping and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Hugs:)
Angela

Poppy Love

Poppy Love is an image by ching-chou kuik and is part of Plate #25.  The mermaids, fairies and other lovelies in the ching-chou kuik collection are a joy to stamp, color and create with!  It is even more fun when the images and the paper pair as perfectly as Poppy Love does with this paper from Authentique.
