Guest Designer: Nataliya Simpson

Today we welcome our guest designer, Nataliya Simpson. You may remember her as the recent Stamp Off winner with her gorgeous array of cards and altered box. For her first submission she has created this adorable card using the Little Daisy image from the Karen Middleton collection, Plate #114.

To colour my image i used copic markers, watercolour markers, and used some chalk for the grass and the sky.

I aAdded gold micro beads to the flowers on the image.  I made my own beads embellishments, and left top corner flower.

Papers on my card is from Michael's store. I used blue and orange ribbons ( I don't know if you can see them), and added dabble bow, with pretty brad. And I love glitter, and added little bit of shimmer pen to daisy's hair.

Luna Fairy

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having some great and beautiful summer days!!:)
I want to share one of my card with you today...so here it is:)
This time I have played with one of my new DT stamps from Sweet Pea called Luna Fairy, by Joanne Schempp collection. It Can request found on sheet 3, plate # 142.

I'm totally i love with this gorgeous image, so it's one of my "top favorites" now!:)
I have colored her with Prisma Premier pencils, and added some glitter-Star Dust, on her wings!
I've also painted the design paper, from Melissa Frances, and on the flowers with white Gesso.

A heart-charm, and a little pearl has been placed on the hanger from Tim Holtz, which I have painted with Dabber! ( I love the shabby chic look).
I've also made space for a tag, behind the image, for a personal greeting!

She is so beautiful, don't you think!!:)
The flowers are from Prima, and the corner-frame is from M.F.
The peace of fabric is a cheese cloth, which also has got some paint on it!:)
You can find a lot of new images and new artist HERE in the Sweet Pea shop, and I can promise you...you want be disappointed!!:)

Well, thank you very much for taking a look here which is always much appreciated.
Have a wonderful day and take good care!
Hugs, Ellen:)

Joanne Schempp's Lady Bug...In The Clouds!

I made this card using the image Joanne Schempp's Lady Bug and I thought she looked like something was missing... CLOUDS! PERFECT! I colored this image with copics and cut it out with my nesties. Then I added the viva decor pearls and glitter and  crystal effects to the lantern. I cut the same shape out of the front of the card and stenciled it with my cloud template and added dimensional tape and adhered it to the front for depth... and here is my creation! Thanks for popping in!

Pearl Drop by Renee Biertempfel

I just love all the images from Renee Biertempfel available through Sweet Pea Stamps.
This beauty is called Pearl Drop.
For this card I wanted to keep it uncluttered to keep the focus on this gorgeous image. I am normally a girl who doesn't leave much untouched space, so this was really difficult to do.  But I do love the end result.
Renee Biertempfel's Pearl Drop can be purchased on her own, or on Sheet #2, Plate #153 with three other stunning images.
Hugs Renee

This beautiful image has been colored with Copic's (It's a known thing .. practice makes perfect, so · I'll just continue to practice on these markers;))...The papers are Bo Bunny, and the sentiment is from Sweet Pea! I like to use this sentiments..a lot!:)

Miss You

Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea artist ching-chou kiuk. This stamp is called Dream of Iris . I love the forlorn look on her face. I think she goes well with the Miss You sentiment from Plate #98.I used a wonderful shimmery cardstock as the base of this card and a Martha Stewart corner punch. I colored the image using Copic Markers and cut it out with Spellbinders Nestabilities. I covered the edges of the die cut with black ink and the image of the card with white ink. I added white cardstock inside the card to make the corners stand out with a white background.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Hobby Lobby, Neenah); Ink (Memento, Stazon White, Colorbox Chalk); Rubber Stamps(Sweet Pea); Corner Punch (Martha Stewart); Adhesives (Popdots, Glue All); Color (Copic Markers); DieCut (Spellbinders-Nestabilities);

Connie-Hang In There!

I had alot of fun with this cute image by Sweet Pea artist Karen Middleton.
As soon as I saw this stamp, I knew what I would do with it!

I stamped it with Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and trimmed.
Then using my Xacto knife I cut small slits so I could thread
some fibers through.
I stamped the verse (also on this plate #112) and cut each word
and matted them after sponging some "Desert Sand" ink by CTMH
on the edges.
I punched a tiny hole and tied some string on each and "hung"
them on the fibers.
I confess to not being able to fit them on the
card unless they were cut apart.
The background paper is by DCWV from their
"The Pets Stack" collection.
Check out
to see all the great images by artist
Karen Middleton!!
Thanks for stopping by today.

Falling Leaf and Friend

Artisit Renee Biertempfel has another new image, Falling Leaf and Friend, and full plate #153 available from Sweet Pea Stamps. The entire plate is gorgeous, but this image is my favorite of the four (at least for today!).

As excited as I am for Summer, I really enjoy coloring and working with the richness and warmth of the fall colors. Of course, nothing says the leaves couldn't be done in green too.

Sassy and Sweet

Isn't Love Lace drawn by Joanne Schempp just a touch sassy, but still so lovely?  I really love Joanne Schempp's artistic style and this is only one of many of her images I am enjoying playing with.  If you haven't added some of her designs to your Sweet Pea Stamps collection, you really should.

This little sweetie is called Seahorses Mermaid drawn by Elaine Cox for Sweet Pea Stamps.  She is one of the 'older' images, but there are sooooooooooooooo many available at Sweet Pea Stamps and they are all so beautiful, how can I not go back to the early ones and play with them some more?

Melana

Today I want to show you beautiful Melana. She is from the fabulous artist Nikki Burnette and she comes as a single stamp or is available on  plate 120 with three more gorgeous images.

I had such a pleasure to colour her with my Distress Inks. First I had the middle paper piece in my hands. And immediately I knew I have to take this stamps and have to colour her in those colours which are on the paper as well, pink and blue. The background paper I chose afterward. I like how she turned out.

Thank you very much for your always much appreciated visit here. Before you go just look at all those gorgeous new artists and images Sweet Pea Stamps have. You will love them.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Karina

More ATCs

I got so inspired by my last ATC that I decided to make some more. And I'm just warming up. This is a great way to try out new techniques as the area to work is so small (about 2.5x3.5") It's also a great way to use up anything small you might have: paperscraps, bling, punches etc.

I have stamped directly onto patterned paper as I love the sheer look it gives. It's perfectly fine to colour on although you might not get a brilliant shading (great for us that hasn't perfected our colouring skills)

For this pink/green I used one of Meredith Dillman's stamps from plate #94. She is actually holding an egg, but attaching a flower made the image more versatile. The word stamp is from ching chou kuik's sheet 7, plate 29. I kept it a bit distressed and added gold. Love that combination.

For my other ATC I used Linda Bigg's "Bella's paradise" from plate 81. The patterned paper already had the black detail. All I had to do was stamp and colour. I love the underwater effect here. I also went a bit crazy with my glitterpen and added dimensional glaze on the black swirl to the right. Finally before mounting I punched a border and attached it to the right to even out the ATC layout.

Brown Hat Spring Fairy

This is a fun image from the Elaine Cox collection titled Brown Hat Spring Fairy. She can be found on plate #40 along with three other sweet images.

Don't forget to stop by the Sweet Pea Store today where you will find some fantastic deals, new releases and more!

Little Daisy

Hi everyone!:) Hope you all are doing great! Today I want to share one card, with a beautiful image, and it's the first time I've made a card with her, but I promise..it's not the last!!:)
For this card I used "Little Daisy" by Karen Middleton at Sweet Pea Stamps.  You can purchase her as a single or on Sheet #3 Plate #114.
Isn't she beautiful?:) She looks like a "happy summer-girl":)

I have colored her with my Prisma Premier Pencils, and the lovely paper is from Magnolia (the one with roses), and the other one is from Maja Design.
I have been using my M.S flourish punch around all the edges, and I LOVE the effect it gives!!:)
I love fairies, flowers and butterflies..so this image is one of my favorite!! Perfect for young girl, and for those who isn't a teenage anymore!:))

Wish you all a beautiful day, and take good care!!

Hit 600!!!!!

I will be posting the 3 winners for the blog followers tomorrow. I am having major computer problems today. Thank you for all who follow Sweet Pea Stamps

Broken Angel

Here's a stunning stamp called Broken Angel by artist Meredith Dillman (Plate #107). I just love the beauty of this stamp. I wanted to give this stamp very rich coloring so I chose bright blues and dark yellows. I then matched those colors with cardstocks to create the card.

The beautiful border surrounding the image is done with large size punches from Martha Stewart. I lined the center with shimmery silver paper and then added my Copic colored image along with my saying for the card. The saying comes from another Meredith Dillman sheet Plate #98.

Wishing you all a wonderful stamping day!

Cheers, Holley

Bill Plank's Darling Christmas Elves!

I made this card with the Trimming the Tree image from Bill Plank that can be found on Sheet one plate 157. How precious are these sweet little helper elves? I would love it if some came and did my tree for me!(LOL) I colored this with copic markers and on the fluffy hats and the garlands, liquid applique fit the bill. Then I got to play with all of my stickles and did the ornaments in grand fashion! Then the red dots and the "pearls" are viva decor pens!
I hope you like it!Thanks for stopping buy!

Connie-Mirima by Elaine Cox

Today I played with the beautiful image
"Mirima"
from plate #133 by Elaine Cox.
You can find this beauty over at
along with 3 other equally beautiful images.

I stamped her with Memento's Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers.
Then I layered her with some yummy papers by Prima
from their "Fairy Flora" collection.
Add some bubble stickers by Momenta and some half pearls by
K&Company.

Thanks for looking!
